About the review

The review lasted a handful of years (1959-60) and immediately displayed its desire to bring about confrontations between painting and poetry without any prejudice, even if the interplay of friendships had influenced the choice of participating artists, particularly for the cover illustrations. A marked preference for artists of "Nuagisme" (BENRATH, DUVILLIER, LAUBIÈS, MESSAGIER) does not prejudge the content, which was not exclusively aimed at celebrating this movement, then in full expansion. A broad overview of young Parisian painting and part of the European avant-garde of the 1960s is displayed throughout the issues of the review: G. BERTINI, CHRISTO, L. CASTRO, CLERTÉ, W. LAM, J.H. SILVA, A. MASSON, G. MATHIEU, P. SOULAGES, Key SATO, W. VOSTELL, STAUDACHER, Jeanne COPPEL, WOSTAN, Nasser ASSAR, ALECHINSKY, VOSTEL, RANCILLAC, J. VOSS, M. RAYSSE, E. BAJ, K. SUGAÏ, RECALCATI, B. DUFOUR, L. ZACK, A. KITO, NACCACHE, AUBERTIN, FICHET, GUITET, HARTUNG, KALLOS, KARSKAYA, KIJNO, KITO, LAUBIES, LOUBCHANSKY, etc.

Regarding poetry, the choice was often determined by options offered to young poets who thus paid a kind of tribute to an elder. Texts by Gaston Puel, Henri Kr&ea, Ezra Pound, Jean Paulhan, André Pieyre de Mandiargues, Christian Dotremont, Armel Guerne, André Verdet, Jean-François Chabrun, Jean Follain, Jacques Dupin, Ilara Voronca, Georg Trackl, Achille Chavée, Luc Bérimont, Henri Chopin, André Miguel, Edmond Humeau, Jean l'Anselme, Michel Manoll, Jean-Louis Depierris, Pierre Seghers, Pierre Boujut, Philippe Soupault, Michel Seuphor, André Laude, Viviane Forrester, Pierre Bettencourt, Hubert Juin, Noel Arnaud, Caradec, Raoul Hausmann, Paul Chaulot, André du Bouchet, Léo Malet, Jacques Dupin, Bernard Delvaille, Marcel Béalu, etc.
